Crazy Crafters Blog hop

Have you ever wanted to begin a project, but became bewildered due to the colour choices?
It happens to me ALL the time!
Its frustrating- because there are SO many gorgeous Stampin' up colours to choose from! (Oh! its a hard life!! LOL)
If this has EVER happened to you, - you are going to LOVE this months Blog hop!
the wonderful Crazy Crafters have Left it up to Pinterest (Stampin' Ups official page) to help- It has literally 100's of wonderful suggestions of colour combinations at your fingertips.

check out Stampin Ups suggested colour combos!
check out the helpful colour combos that Stampin up has to offer!
Each of our Crazy Crafter's Gang have each chosen a colour grouping from Stampin Ups pinterest page, and have made a project using these colour- I chose this combo

gorgeous right?
I chose it especially because I would get to use the Gold satin ribbon, AND the gold soiree paper!!! Im in love with them both- they are just gorgeous!

so the colours are-
GOLD, PISTACHIO PUDDING, COASTAL CABANA, TANGERINE TANGO, and BASIC BLACK

and here's my creation!

I'm in love with the satin ribbon!!

The colour choice was very much out of my comfort zone- I'm not used to using 5 colours either- but I'm Pleased with the result- a card that is quite dramatic and bold, I think!
The use of the Stampin up pinterest page was a great help- So if you are ever stuck for ideas- go and check it out- its only a click away!!

I am SURE you will find tons of inspiration from the other crazy crafters too- so make sure you check them all out!!

New catalog goodies!

Oh my goodness I'm soooooo excited about the new catalog! I know you will be too!!
First, the new incolours- aren't they stunning!
Mossy meadow
Tangerine tango
Lost lagoon
Hello honey
And my fave- blackberry bliss!

Now.... For the big reveal-
Da da da daaaaaaaa!
BLENDABILITIES!!!
I looooove them. I'll admit, I'm a beginner- I'm VERY new to this art form, but I'm loving the journey. Here's some of my samples!
I love the strength of colour you can get, and the effortless blending ability of the markers.
I think if you are wanting to get into alcohol markers, blendabilities are the way to go, because the set incorperates the dark, medium and light version of each colour, so no searching for the correct shade! Easy!
I also LOVE the price- 20.95$ for a pack of 3!!!
The only thing I'm sad about if that we will have to wait to be able to purchase them. Stampin up is struggling with the massive demand of the markers and suppliers can't keep up! (Because they are sooooo good!!) so those of you that are interested in my blendabilities club will need to be patient. ( I'm sorry. I know it's like torture!!)
If you would like to join our blendabilities club, click the tab above to express your interest!!

I hope you have enjoyed this little sample from my craft table, and I hope you will stop by really soon!

Blendabilities

18 months a go I got the offer to join stampin up. One reason I hesitated for a millisecond was that Stampin up DIDN'T have a range photopolymer stamps (and now they do!!) AND they didn't have alcohol based markers (something that I really wanted to get into...)
Well...

Stampin Up is releasing "Blendabilities" their NEW alcohol markers!!
I cant tell you HOW excited I am- this is SO fantastic!!
Unlike watercolouring (which is AWESOME, of course) you can achieve a STRONG colour, while still blending the colours seamlessly! it makes achieving skin tones, so so easy!! YAY!
I used pics from Erin Burton click on the blendabilities pic to see her sample!
Erin Burton shows a fantastic example of using them on her blog!

Classes- see what we are making this month!

I just thought I would share with you my techniques class this week- the theme was "card in a box" very popular on the web at the moment!!
I chose to do the version which only uses a 1/2 A4 piece of cardstock. We had a few young men in our class, so I had to choose the stamp sets wisely.... I chose the "back yard basics" stamp set and bigshot dies (it had birds and bees in it as well!) No flowers for the boys thank you very much!! (We had 2 "killer bee boxes" from them- don't you think they did a great job??) plus "flower shop" stamp set ,and "create a cupcake" stamp sets with coordinating punches.  It was a fun class! Here's some of the samples we made-

I've also made samples for my online class. I filmed the tutorial for my first in a series of 3 watercolouring tutorials this week. I hope the ladies enjoy the class!
My online class receives everything needed to make these 3 cards in the kit they will recieve this month, for only 5$ plus postage!  (excluding stamps.) Plus they recieve a video tutorial of how to make these cards. Interested in joining? Go to the above online class tab for more info!

I've ALSO been stuffing envelopes (got another 75 done this week) for a card kit mail out I did early last month. I had 500 sign up!! Massive massive job. (Especially when you work full time as well! Lol ) I've made a few cards for orders and myself As well ! Busy busy week!! I hope you have a good one too!
Don't forget to check out the weekly deals!
 Thanks for the blog visit!

Crazy crafters Blog hop

FRAMELITS

Hello everyone!!!
Thankyou so much for coming by and checking out our Blog hop- I'm sure you have enjoyed seeing everyones so far today- you  might have come from the very talented Teena Mahers blog- "stamping with Teena"  If not- be sure to check them all out- I'm sure you will get lots and lots of ideas for your next paper crafting project!!

FRAMELITS
What a fantastic Theme we have today!! Next to cardstock, ink and stamps, my big shot and framelits are my most valued items in my paper crafting tools- and some of the most used as well!

Because I use Framelits SO much, I wanted to make something out of the ordinary for today's blog hop.
I'm a fan of instagram, and thought I would make an instagram camera with an opening lens
I searched the "far and wide web"  and found inspiration from Melanie Schulenberg but couldn't find a camera that ONLY used framelits!
so I created my own!! (Tutorial soon to come!)

Can you spot the little lever that opens the cameras iris?

I can tell you how challenging this was!!! in Melanies tutorial, she used glue dots to attach the lens shutters, but I found it didn't give enough movement, so used mini brads that I flattened in the big shot once attached. here is a shot of the framelits I used and the pieces I made...
As you can see I used a variety of circle framelits, PLUS I used a couple from "chalk talk"
and then in "dressing" my card, to carry on with the theme, I used the new "star burst" framelits- and, as Stampin Up does best, I used the coordinating "starburst sayings" stamp set
I hope you have enjoyed my contribution to today's blog hop!If you haven't already, please check out everyones blog hop posts- I'm sure you will find heaps of inspiration in them!!
